HVAC truck lettering that actually books service calls

HVAC trucks are how homeowners decide who to call when the AC dies on a 95-degree Saturday. We ship door-and-rear lettering kits sized for service vans and 1-ton box trucks, with the layout HVAC contractors actually need: company, phone, 24-hour callout, license, and the credentials that justify the diagnostic fee.

  • Layout: company, phone, 24-HR SERVICE, license #, NATE / EPA 608
  • Sized for service vans, 1-ton trucks, and box-body installers
  • 3M Controltac vinyl - holds up to attic-dust, refrigerant wipes, salt air
  • Optional reflective for night service calls
  • USDOT add-on for crews running over 10,001 lbs combined

What separates an HVAC truck that books calls

The homeowner sees your truck for 5 seconds in a neighbor's driveway. In those 5 seconds they need to read three things: who you are, how to call you, and a reason to trust you over the guy with chalk-marker on a magnet. Company name and phone do the first two. The third - the trust - is your license number, NATE certification, EPA 608, or a 24-HR SERVICE callout.

Service-trade vehicle research consistently shows HVAC homeowners decide based on visible credentials at the curb before they ever Google a single review. A clean lettering layout with a real license number is a one-time $250-$450 spend that returns calls for the 7-year life of the vinyl.

Layout for a typical HVAC service truck

Driver door: company name (large), phone (largest single element), 24-HR SERVICE banner under the phone, license # at the bottom. Passenger door: mirror layout, with NATE or EPA 608 in the corner. Rear barn doors or roll-up: centered logo + a services bullet list (Repair, Install, Maintenance, Heat Pumps, Mini-Splits, Duct Cleaning).

For 1-ton service bodies with diamond-plate boxes, we cut the lettering to sit above the box on the cab face. For Sprinter-style install vans, we use the full door height. Either way the layout is yours to tweak at checkout before we cut.

Built for the HVAC environment

Your truck lives in attics in July, crawl spaces in February, and salt-air parking lots if you're on the coast. 3M Controltac IJ180mC handles all of it - 7+ year outdoor warranty, refrigerant-wipe resistant, safe with pressure washing 24 hours after install. We weed and pre-mask in batches and ship the kit flat-packed with a squeegee, alcohol wipe, and install card.

If you run a 26 ft box truck for new-construction installs, you're over 10,001 lbs GVWR and FMCSA requires USDOT + carrier name in 2 in. minimum lettering on both sides. We add USDOT and MC to the same kit for $20-$60.

Frequently asked

Can I put NATE or EPA 608 on the truck?
Yes - those credentials, plus state HVAC licenses, BBB ratings, and brand-authorized-dealer callouts (Trane, Carrier, Mitsubishi, etc.) all fit in the standard door layout.
Does this work on a Sprinter or ProMaster install van?
Yes - those flat painted door panels are exactly what the kit is sized for. Tell us the year, make, model, and door style at checkout.
Will it hold up to attic insulation dust and refrigerant?
Yes. 3M Controltac vinyl handles most chemical wipes once cured (24 hours after install). Avoid solvent-based cleaners on the edges.
Can I add a QR code to my booking page?
Yes - we'll add a printed QR sticker that opens your scheduling link, or an NFC tag for tap-to-book. Both are checkout add-ons.
Do I need a USDOT for a 1-ton service truck?
Most single-axle 1-tons stay under 10,001 lbs GVWR and don't need one. 26 ft box trucks, dually trucks pulling enclosed install trailers, and crew trucks with tool trailers usually do. When in doubt, ask your insurance agent or check your truck's GVWR sticker.
How fast can I get it?
Text-only kits ship Thursday after a Tuesday order. Custom logos and multi-color layouts run 5-10 business days from artwork approval, then ground shipping.
